This conference, with the theme of the path to nuclear energy modernization development, brings together the backbone of China's nuclear energy industry, and will inject strong impetus into the high-quality development of the nuclear energy industry in the new era, through the exchanges and in-depth discussions with each other. He emphasized that we must work together to improve safety management level and ensure absolute safety; we must continue to strengthen the scientific and technological innovation of nuclear energy, and deepen scientific and technological innovation cooperation in all aspects; we must put forth effort to promote nuclear energy, further expanding the scene applications and spatial layout of nuclear energy and accelerating to implement the integrated development of nuclear, wind and solar energy storage.
China Energy Research Society, together with four academicians and representatives of leading enterprises of the industry, took the lead and signed the "China Nuclear Energy Modernization Development Initiative" that was read out by Han Shui, the Chief Supervisor of the China Energy Research Society. The Initiative made four major commitments: First, upholding safety first and quality first. It consolidates the foundation for the modernization development of China's nuclear energy with world-class performance of nuclear safety; Second, upholding the "Four Facings" as well as self-reliance in high-level science and technology. It continuously promotes our nuclear energy technology to be at the forefront of the world; Third, upholding the in-depth and practical cooperation among the government, industry, academia, research and application. It jointly improves the modernization level of industry chain; Fourth, upholding the opening up and cooperation with high level. It serves global sustainable development with high-quality international cooperation.
