The new entity will utilise Modon Holding’s infrastructure and real estate capabilities to expedite delivery of major projects.
Gridora leverages Modon Holding’s expertise in infrastructure and real estate development to accelerate project delivery in the UAE and globally. The platform is structured around two complementary business lines: Infrastructure Projects and Infrastructure Investments, which draw on the project origination and asset management capabilities of the founding partners.
The dual-focus model aims to generate financial returns while addressing the growing demand for infrastructure development at national, regional, and international levels. Gridora is designed to create value across the infrastructure lifecycle, from planning to operations, enabling both fee-based revenues and long-term investment opportunities.
Bill O’Regan, Group Chief Executive Officer of Modon Holding, stated: “The joint venture reinforces Modon’s mission to create smart cities defined by intelligent and connected living. It provides a targeted solution to meet infrastructure requirements, significantly accelerating the delivery of critical projects while broadening the field of specialist private sector delivery partners.”
Syed Basar Shueb, Chief Executive Officer of IHC, added: “Gridora reflects IHC’s continued focus on building future-ready platforms that combine innovation, scale, and strategic collaboration. As a long-term investor, we see strong potential in harnessing infrastructure investments to unlock new economic value, deepen private sector participation, and drive infrastructure-led growth across markets.”
In October 2024, ADQ designated Modon Holding as the master developer for the Ras El Hekma megaproject in Egypt, highlighting its growing role in major infrastructure initiatives. Gridora’s establishment strengthens Abu Dhabi’s position as a hub for transformative infrastructure development, fostering partnerships and innovative solutions to meet global infrastructure needs.
The platform is expected to enhance the efficiency of project delivery while creating new revenue streams and sustainable growth opportunities for Modon Holding and its partners. By integrating expertise and capital, Gridora aims to support the development of advanced infrastructure that aligns with regional and global development goals.
