The cranes will be installed on Sea1 Offshore’s ST-245 vessels, designed to support offshore energy operations. Built to meet the demands of the Norwegian shipping company, these vessels will benefit from the cranes’ advanced capabilities. Huisman’s cranes are equipped with an Active Heave Compensation system, which enhances operational stability during lifting tasks.
This system integrates the crane’s electric components with the vessel’s DC grid, allowing seamless interaction with the ship’s energy storage system. The design optimizes energy use, reducing the overall power required for offshore lifting activities. This efficiency supports sustainable operations in the offshore energy sector.
Cees van Veluw, Huisman’s product director for cranes, stated: “We are proud to work alongside Sea1 Offshore, COSCO Shipping, and Skipsteknisk, combining our expertise to deliver reliable, energy-efficient lifting solutions. The trust placed in us for a repeat order confirms the strength of these partnerships and our shared commitment to innovation in the offshore energy sector.”
The collaboration highlights the companies’ focus on delivering high-quality, innovative equipment for offshore energy projects. The cranes are expected to enhance the operational capabilities of Sea1 Offshore’s vessels, contributing to efficient and environmentally conscious operations.
