The YANGWANG U7, powered by BYD’s e? technology, delivers over 1,300 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. It introduces advanced features, including all-terrain in-place turning, stable handling during high-speed tire blowouts, and precise parallel lateral parking. The vehicle is equipped with the world’s first DiSus-Z active suspension system, utilizing direct-drive motor technology to convert electrical energy into precise vertical motion control. This system, with a peak power of 50 kW, features a Magic Ruler sensor with a 50-microsecond response time, detecting 4,000 body position changes per second. It adjusts the vehicle’s height with 1-millimeter accuracy and a 5-millisecond execution speed, ensuring exceptional stability.
The e? platform’s four-wheel independent torque vectoring enables millisecond-level control of each wheel, allowing pivot turns and fixed-point rotations. The U7 also introduces a pioneering “parallel lateral movement” feature for seamless sideways maneuvering. Its 20-degree bi-directional intelligent rear-wheel steering, combined with agile steering technology, gives this luxury D-segment sedan the maneuverability of a compact A0-segment car.
The BEV version of the U7 is powered by a 135.5 kWh Blade Battery pack, offering a CLTC-rated range of 720 km. The PHEV variant, equipped with a 52.4 kWh battery, achieves a combined range of 1,000 km. The PHEV model features a horizontally opposed engine, a first for mass-produced vehicles in its market, with a compact height of 420 mm. This design optimizes under-hood space while maintaining a noise difference of just 1 decibel between hybrid and electric modes.
YANGWANG stated: “The U7 is the world’s first model to feature the DiSus-Z active suspension system,” highlighting its innovative approach to performance and precision. The U7’s advanced technologies and robust performance position it as a flagship offering in the luxury electric vehicle market.
