In Angola, a new market, Hilton will launch three hotels: one in Cabinda and two in Luanda, offering both affordable and luxury options. In Benin, a partnership with the Société de Développement Hôtelier du Bénin will bring the 233-room Hilton Cotonou. Hilton will return to Madagascar with two properties in Antananarivo.
In Nigeria, the 93-room Wave Hotel Abuja Jabi will open near Abuja’s business district, while the 200-room Hilton Lagos Ikeja, developed with Cornfield Group, is slated for 2029. A 100-room Hilton Garden Inn in Kano will be built with Akhim Plus. In Morocco, the 109-room DoubleTree by Hilton Fes Golf will open on a golf course. Additional projects include an airport hotel in Accra, Ghana, two hotels in Ethiopia, and one in Tanzania.
Carlos Khneisser, Hilton’s chief development officer for the Middle East & Africa, said: “Africa offers incredible opportunity, from thriving business hubs to vibrant cultures, wildlife, and natural landscapes.”
This expansion follows Hilton’s plan to open 40 hotels in Egypt, reinforcing its commitment to Africa’s dynamic markets.
