The 488 MW Îles d’Yeu and Noirmoutier (EMYN) offshore wind farm in France, developed by Les Éoliennes en Mer Services, completed the installation of its 61st and final inter-array cable. Positioned 11.7 kilometers from Yeu Island and 16.5 kilometers from Noirmoutier Island, the project is nearing full operational status.

Louis Dreyfus TravOcean reported that the final cable supports a transmission capacity of 512 MW. Geoquip Marine’s Geoquip Elena will be demobilized from Dunkirk’s offshore base in early July 2025. Prysmian’s termination and testing activities, conducted from Island Offshore’s vessel Island Diligence, are expected to finish by July 2025.

DEME Group’s Innovation jack-up vessel completed monopile installation this month. The first of 61 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW turbines was installed in May 2025, with the remaining turbines set for installation by Jan De Nul’s Vole au Vent through June 2025.

The EMQN wind farm began delivering green electricity to the French grid this month, following initial testing on May 23, 2025. Full commissioning is planned for Q2 2025, bolstering France’s renewable energy efforts.
