The MG8/10RL inverters deliver power outputs ranging from 5 kW to 10 kW, designed to operate reliably in high temperatures up to 45°C. They incorporate advanced features such as active potential induced degradation (PID) recovery and rapid backup power switching within 4 milliseconds. A Sungrow representative stated: “With industry-leading features like full-power operation at 45°C, active PID recovery, and seamless backup power switching within 4ms, this new solution ensures households stay powered even in extreme climates or unstable grid conditions, designed to meet the rising demand for household energy independence across the region.”
The system, compatible with over 50 third-party batteries, supports scalable configurations from 5 kW to 80 kW, accommodating up to eight units in parallel. This flexibility makes it suitable for various settings, from small apartments to large homes. The forthcoming MGL060 battery, equipped with 314 Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells, offers 8,000 cycles and a lifespan three times longer than standard industry offerings, enhancing durability and efficiency.
The ESS supports diverse setups, including photovoltaic-only systems, fully off-grid solutions, and configurations like “Battery Ready” for future battery additions or “Backup Only” for reliable power during outages without solar panels. A 4.3-inch full-color touchscreen provides real-time monitoring and local control, with commissioning completed in under 30 seconds without internet access. The system’s “Storm Mode” enables rapid battery charging from the grid, achieving a full charge in one hour for a 6 kW/6 kWh system, ensuring readiness for extreme weather.
Sungrow’s ESS incorporates quiet operation at 35 dB and supports high-power appliances during outages with up to 200% overload capacity for 10 seconds. Future integration with Sungrow’s iHomeManager, an AI-driven energy management platform, will optimize energy use based on consumption patterns, weather forecasts, and dynamic tariffs, potentially increasing efficiency by over 12%. This launch underscores Sungrow’s commitment to providing reliable, sustainable energy solutions for households worldwide.
