The initiative aims to generate up to 500 megawatts of clean energy, with an estimated investment exceeding $700 million. By installing solar panels on water bodies, the project also seeks to reduce evaporation losses, potentially preserving approximately 15% of freshwater in a region facing water scarcity challenges. The floating solar installations are designed to optimize land use, leaving agricultural areas untouched while producing cost-effective energy.

Construction of the projects is scheduled to begin with completion targeted by 2030, creating local employment opportunities during both construction and operational phases.
