The building accommodates approximately 150 employees.
The project, part of ARCO’s growing presence in Louisville, utilized its tilt-wall construction method, typically applied in industrial and warehouse projects, to deliver the office building efficiently. NTS selected ARCO as the design-build partner for the shell and core construction, leveraging ARCO’s expertise to meet project requirements.
Matt Ricketts, NTS managing director, stated: “ARCO Design/Build proved to be an outstanding partner in the successful delivery of the 815 Building. Their thoughtful and innovative design approach met the unique criteria of the project, and they executed construction on time, on budget, and in line with NTS’ high standards for quality and finish.”
ARCO highlighted that the tilt-wall method provided significant advantages, including a faster construction timeline and lower costs compared to traditional steel-frame techniques, while maintaining high design and functional standards. This approach ensured the project met both Heaven Hill’s operational needs and NTS’s quality expectations.
Cody Sunderhaus, ARCO Design/Build Louisville division manager, said: “By taking on project risk early through our design-build approach, we were able to deliver a solution that works for both NTS and the end user. It’s about building relationships and finding the right construction method for each unique challenge.”
The 815 Building supports Heaven Hill’s operations in Louisville, where the company also manages the Bernheim Distillery and the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience. The new facility enhances Heaven Hill’s ability to expand production and diversify its offerings, contributing to the company’s growth in the region.
Ben Titus, CEO of ARCO Design/Build Louisville, Indianapolis, and Columbus, stated: “As we establish ARCO’s presence in Louisville, projects like this show that our design-build philosophy adapts well to new markets. This building demonstrates what’s possible when you combine our construction expertise with genuine collaboration and the right partners.”
The completion of the 815 Building underscores ARCO’s commitment to delivering innovative, cost-effective construction solutions, strengthening Louisville’s commercial infrastructure and supporting Heaven Hill’s operational goals.
