The turbine delivery is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2027, with commissioning planned for the fourth quarter of the same year. The order, part of Vestas’ third-quarter intake, includes a 20-year service agreement to ensure long-term performance and maintenance of the wind farms.
A Vestas spokesperson stated: “This order strengthens our partnership with Energiekontor and contributes to Germany’s sustainable energy goals.” The projects align with efforts to increase clean energy capacity in Lower Saxony, a region known for its commitment to renewable energy development.
Energiekontor, a German renewable energy developer, is focused on advancing wind and solar projects across Europe. A company representative noted: “The collaboration with Vestas allows us to leverage advanced turbine technology to deliver reliable, clean energy to the region.” The Haberloh and Heidkrug wind farms are expected to play a key role in supporting local energy needs while reducing reliance on traditional energy sources.
The agreement reflects the growing demand for wind energy in Germany as part of the country’s broader strategy to enhance sustainable energy infrastructure. By deploying high-efficiency turbines, Vestas and Energiekontor aim to contribute to a more sustainable energy future, aligning with global trends toward cleaner power generation.
