The project includes a public hydrogen filling station with dual dispensers for 350 and 700 bars, capable of distributing up to 1,000 kilograms of hydrogen per day. Additionally, a trailer filling station with four refueling points will serve both regional and national markets. This infrastructure is designed to provide refueling capacity for multiple vehicle types, including trucks, buses, and passenger cars in southern Germany. The contract value has not been disclosed.
The development forms part of the “H2 Main-Tauber Hub,” a broader initiative to establish a complete value chain for hydrogen in the mobility sector, from production to end use. Beyond supplying equipment, Guttroff and Wolftank have agreed to strategic cooperation in the hydrogen field. This partnership strengthens Wolftank’s presence in Germany, considered one of Europe’s most dynamic hydrogen markets.
Wolftank Group CEO Simon Reckla said: “With our refueling and trailer solution, we will enable the direct use of green hydrogen in transport, supporting the market ramp-up. Germany is among the most dynamic markets for hydrogen in Europe. Together with Guttroff, we are taking an important step towards expanding the necessary infrastructure.”
The project highlights Wolftank’s role as a technology partner in building sustainable energy infrastructure. The company’s solutions support the transition to cleaner transport systems by offering modular hydrogen and LNG refueling systems, contributing to zero-emission mobility.
Headquartered in Innsbruck, Austria, Wolftank Group is active in more than 20 countries, delivering services across environmental remediation, soil and groundwater treatment, recycling, and renewable energy refueling solutions. Its subsidiaries operate in eight countries on three continents. The company is listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange in the direct market plus segment, as well as on the Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, and Xetra stock exchanges under the ticker (WKN: A2PBHR; ISIN: AT0000A25NJ6).
Through its activities, Wolftank is supporting the development of hydrogen infrastructure that will help accelerate the adoption of green energy in Europe. The Dettelbach project with Guttroff underscores the increasing importance of collaboration between technology providers and energy companies in advancing clean mobility.
