The Tak Le project adds to this record and highlights the company’s role in supporting Vietnam’s renewable energy development.
Vietnam has been expanding its hydropower capacity as part of its broader energy transition. ANDRITZ has actively contributed to these efforts through major supply contracts for key projects. In 2022, Vietnam Electricity (EVN) selected the company to provide the full electro-mechanical equipment package and technical services for the Ialy hydropower plant extension project. This facility is located in Sa Thay district, Kon Tum Province, and Chu Pah district, Gia Lai Province, further strengthening the partnership between EVN and ANDRITZ.
The Tak Le project represents another step forward in Vietnam’s renewable energy growth, combining advanced hydropower technology with international expertise. With the delivery of critical equipment and technical support, ANDRITZ aims to contribute to the reliable operation and long-term performance of the facility.
Through its ongoing projects and long-standing cooperation with local partners, ANDRITZ continues to reinforce its position as a key technology supplier for Vietnam’s hydropower industry. The company’s involvement reflects a consistent commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions in Southeast Asia, supporting both energy security and sustainable development.
In addition to large-scale projects, ANDRITZ’s accumulated experience in hydropower projects across Vietnam demonstrates the growing importance of international partnerships in advancing renewable energy infrastructure. The Tak Le project is expected to further enhance the region’s electricity supply, adding resilience to the grid while contributing to clean power generation.
Overall, the new contract underlines Vietnam’s steady investment in renewable resources and ANDRITZ’s ongoing role in supplying technology and expertise to meet the country’s energy development goals.
