RWE has been awarded two wind projects, Balinot in the Oise department and Langonnet in Morbihan, with a combined capacity of 21.6 MW. Each project will feature three wind turbines generating 10.8 MW.
“2025 has been a successful year for RWE in France,” the company noted, highlighting that more than 83 MW of wind and solar projects have been commissioned in recent months. In addition, RWE secured 82 MW in the CRE’s 2024 onshore wind tenders. With these two new projects, the company’s awarded onshore wind capacity in the 2025 CRE tenders now totals 172.6 MW, alongside 19.6 MW of alternating current solar capacity.
This achievement reinforces RWE’s position as a leading player in France’s energy transition. Since entering the French market in 2020, RWE has commissioned 275 MW and now manages a portfolio of approximately 1.6 GW of onshore wind projects and one gigawatt-peak of solar projects at various development stages. This includes 408 MW previously awarded in CRE tenders.
RWE’s growing portfolio reflects its commitment to supporting France’s renewable energy targets and strengthening the country’s low-carbon energy infrastructure.
