Cement production contracted 2.3% YoY to 6.267?Mt from 6.416?Mt. Blended cement accounted for 4.435?Mt, or 71% of production, with OPC making up the remainder. Clinker production rose 5.1% YoY to 5.383?Mt from 5.123?Mt.
Exports continued to grow, with cement shipments up 29.1% YoY to 147,553?t from 114,291?t. Clinker exports increased 26% YoY to 836,621?t from 664,023?t. East Timor was the largest market for cement, followed by Taiwan and Australia. Bangladesh was the key destination for clinker, followed by Angola and Taiwan.
For January–October 2025, cement sales contracted 1.8% YoY to 51.881?Mt, down from 52.842?Mt in the same period of 2024. Bali-Nustra and Sumatera were the only regions reporting growth, rising 8.6% YoY to 3.466?Mt and 0.3% YoY to 11.595?Mt, respectively. Java declined 0.5% YoY to 27.056?Mt. Sulawesi dropped 17.6% YoY to 4.154?Mt, Kalimantan fell 3.7% to 3.882?Mt, and Maluku-Papua decreased 4.8% YoY to 1.730?Mt.
Cement production in the first ten months of 2025 totaled 52.813?Mt, down 2.4% YoY from 54.116?Mt. Blended cement made up 35.223?Mt, or 67% of production, with OPC the remainder. Clinker output fell 0.5% YoY to 47.702?Mt from 47.961?Mt.
Overall, the data indicates a modest nationwide contraction in demand and production, with growth limited to Bali-Nustra and Sumatera, while other regions, including Java, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, and Maluku-Papua, experienced declines.
