The N6 features minimalist styling first seen on the N7, with split headlights and a full-width LED light bar reflecting Nissan’s V-Motion design language. Its fastback profile and flush door handles enhance aerodynamics. Buyers can choose from silver, black, white, grey, gold, and purple finishes.
The sedan measures 4,831mm in length and 1,885mm in width, with a 2,815mm wheelbase, offering increased rear legroom, which is appealing to family buyers and ride-hailing services.
Inside, the N6 emphasizes AI-driven convenience. The cockpit integrates iFlytek Spark Large Model with DeepSeek-R1 reasoning, enabling offline voice control, continuous dialogue, and multi-semantic processing. A 15.6-inch 2.5K center display anchors the interior, which supports HUAWEI HiCar, ICCOA Carlink, and Apple CarPlay. Interior options include light beige or black themes, while the column-mounted shifter creates space for an open storage shelf beneath the center console.
Power comes from a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine paired with an electric motor, producing 75kW and 155kW respectively. The 21.1-kWh LFP battery provides a CLTC electric-only range of over 150 km. Combined with a full tank and full charge, the N6 can travel more than 1,200 km. Fuel consumption in depleted-battery mode is rated at 4.3 L/100 km.
The N6 competes in the 120,000–150,000 yuan segment, facing rivals such as BYD’s Qin L DM-i and Geely’s Galaxy A7. As Dongfeng Nissan’s most significant PHEV launch to date, the pre-sale performance will likely influence its broader strategy in China’s rapidly evolving new energy vehicle market.
The N6 represents the brand’s effort to meet growing consumer demand for electrified vehicles that combine technology, performance, and practicality. Its AI-centric cockpit, long range, and spacious cabin aim to attract both private families and commercial operators, while its pricing positions it competitively against established high-volume PHEVs.
With the pre-sale set for mid-November, Nissan will gauge market response before the full commercial rollout later this quarter. Success of the N6 is expected to inform future electrified product development and reinforce Dongfeng Nissan’s presence in China’s expanding PHEV segment.
