The collaboration integrates GAC Group’s vehicle manufacturing experience with Alibaba Cloud’s advanced cloud computing and AI technologies. The objective is to create next-generation digital infrastructure and accelerate practical implementation of AI throughout vehicle research, production, and customer-facing services.
Under the agreement, GAC Group will adopt Alibaba Cloud’s infrastructure and the Qwen series large language models to develop an AI-powered operating system covering the entire value chain, including research and development, manufacturing, sales, enterprise management, and after-sales support.
GAC Group will also migrate core internal systems to Alibaba Cloud’s high-performance computing platform and flexible architecture. This will support enhanced development of advanced driver-assistance systems, intelligent cockpit functions, connected-vehicle services, and the company’s expanding international operations.
The partnership includes deeper integration of Qwen large language models into daily operations. Applications will cover multimodal cockpit interaction, AI-supported sales and service tools, and improved business intelligence systems, with the aim of increasing efficiency in R&D and operations while delivering higher levels of in-vehicle intelligence to users.
GAC Group Chairman Feng Xingya stated that the two companies will strengthen cooperation in global cloud deployment, large-model development, cloud-based ADAS engineering, production readiness, and next-generation intelligent cockpits, working together to advance AI-driven mobility solutions.
The relationship between GAC Group and Alibaba Cloud began in 2021. In May of this year, GAC Group announced expanded strategic partnerships with both Alibaba Cloud and Huawei to promote data- and AI-driven transformation and support its international growth.
With the latest agreement, GAC Group will increase reliance on Alibaba Cloud for overseas expansion. Cooperation now extends to overseas digital infrastructure, international connected-vehicle platforms, global supply-chain management systems, and cross-border payment solutions.
The broadened framework marks a significant step toward full-stack AI integration across GAC Group’s domestic and international activities, reinforcing the role of advanced technology in the company’s long-term development strategy.
