The first Memorandum of Understanding between Rosatom and Schneider Electric was signed at SPIEF on 19 June 2015. It has already been extended twice, in 2017 and 2019, each time for a period of two years. In addition to extending the companies’ ongoing Memorandum of Understanding for another two years, the new agreement also expands their cooperation to a number of additional domains, including projects in sustainable development, the sale of joint electrical products to non-nuclear markets in third countries, energy storage systems, intelligent solutions, and additive technologies.
“We are incredibly pleased that our cooperation with Rosatom has been prolonged and will cover more and more areas. The past [few] years have been productive for both companies and we hope that this new stage of our joint efforts will yield many achievements. We consider the opportunity to cooperate in the field of sustainable development to be especially important to us. Schneider Electric has extensive experience in this area, which can make a significant contribution to environmental protection when combined with Rosatom’s innovations,” said Johan Vanderplaetse, President of Schneider Electric in Russia and the CIS.
