The Boise data center will feature advanced technology, including both air and liquid cooling systems with a closed-loop design to minimize water usage. As a carrier-neutral facility, it will ensure flexible connectivity options for its clients. This development builds on ValorC3’s presence in Boise, which began in 2020 with the acquisition of Fiberpipe Data Centers.
Jim Buie, CEO of ValorC3, highlighted the strategic importance of the location: “Boise continues to stand out as a strategic location because of its access to existing connectivity, power and talent, making it a great place for ValorC3 to expand.” He emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting businesses in Boise and the Northwest, stating: “We’re committed to partnering with enterprises in Boise and across the Northwest to meet their growing needs for AI-ready infrastructure. This facility will help us deliver on that promise.”
The new data center is expected to strengthen Boise’s appeal as a hub for technology-driven businesses. Diane Bevan, president and CEO of the Idaho Technology Council, noted: “The addition of ValorC3’s second data centre will give our local businesses a distinct advantage as we continue to grow.” She added that the facility’s services will support existing companies and attract new enterprises to the region.
ValorC3, formerly known as Tonaquint, focuses on expanding in emerging secondary markets. The company is also exploring growth opportunities in the Midwest and Southeast. Its Oklahoma City data center, a 65,000-square-foot facility with robust 12-inch-thick concrete walls designed to withstand an EF5 tornado, was recently recognized as Capacity’s Data Centre of the Month for May.
This new Boise facility underscores ValorC3’s commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance infrastructure to meet the evolving demands of businesses in the region. By enhancing connectivity and supporting AI-driven operations, the data center will contribute to Boise’s growing reputation as a technology hub.
