The Algerian state company, Office Algérien Interprofessionnel des Céréales (OAIC), has launched a tender to procure at least 50,000 tons of milling wheat from any origin, according to Zerno On-Line, citing European traders. This initiative aims to secure a steady supply of wheat to meet Algeria’s domestic needs, supporting food security and stable grain consumption.

The tender is scheduled for May 14, 2025, with offers remaining valid until May 15, 2025. This short window ensures efficient decision-making to finalize contracts promptly. These timelines account for varying transit durations, ensuring timely arrivals to Algerian ports.
