Lei Jun, CEO and chairman of Xiaomi, shared the news on the social media platform Sina Weibo. In his post, he stated: “Xiaomi's self-developed smartphone SoC chip, named Xuanjie O1, is set to debut in late May.”
This development reflects Xiaomi’s ongoing efforts to enhance its capabilities in core technologies, particularly in the semiconductor sector. By creating its own chips, the company aims to increase its control over key smartphone components and improve overall product integration and performance.
