DuPont, based in Wilmington, Delaware, has expanded its healthcare manufacturing facility in Heredia, Costa Rica, to include sterile packaging production for the global medical device industry. The upgrade also boosts the site’s existing medical tubing operations, enhancing its capacity to serve customers across the Caribbean and the Americas.

The Heredia facility grew by 16,000 square feet, adding new extrusion equipment and production lines. This allows the site to produce sterile packaging, such as Tyvek-based pouches, header bags, and lids, while increasing output for extruded medical tubing. The expansion supports a 24/7 production schedule to meet the needs of both existing and new clients.

Certified under ISO 13485:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 standards, the facility maintains rigorous quality protocols, with its technical, assembly, and packaging staff adhering to industry benchmarks. The upgrade positions DuPont to deliver high-quality solutions for medical device manufacturers seeking reliable supply chain partners.
