
Each thermal power unit will have a capacity of 800MW, culminating in a total new generation capacity of 6.4GW.
The scope of work includes comprehensive design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, and commissioning of boiler-turbine-generator (BTG) packages, along with auxiliary systems and associated mechanical, electrical, and control and instrumentation (C&I) systems. This initiative will support India’s growing need for reliable electricity, with Adani Power, which operates over 18GW of installed capacity, playing a key role in meeting the country’s baseload energy demands.

L&T is actively involved in engineering, procurement, construction, high-tech manufacturing, and services across multiple sectors and regions. In a related development, in early August 2025, Adani Power received a letter of intent from the Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited to supply 2,274MW of electricity to the North and South Bihar Power Distribution Companies. Additionally, in July 2025, Adani Power completed the acquisition of Vidarbha Industries Power Limited for approximately $466 million.
