The contract was granted through a renewable energy auction organized by the Polish Energy Regulatory Office in 2025. Construction is set to begin in October 2025, with the project expected to connect to the grid by the second quarter of 2027. Once operational, the ground-mounted photovoltaic park is projected to produce sufficient electricity to supply approximately 117,000 households.
The project is supported by a 15-year contract for difference, which will provide long-term revenue stability for VSB Group. This financial structure ensures the project’s economic viability while contributing to Poland’s renewable energy goals.
“This project sets a new standard for solar energy in Poland,” said Hubert Kowalski, managing director of VSB Poland. “In just a few years, it could evolve into one of Europe’s largest hybrid energy projects, combining photovoltaics, battery storage, and wind power.”
Felix Grolman, chief executive of VSB Group, emphasized the project’s significance: “This scheme embodies the scale and ambition needed to drive meaningful change, while enhancing energy security in Poland and across Europe.”
The solar project builds on VSB Poland’s recent success with the 190.8MW Miejska Górka wind farm, the largest of its kind in Poland, developed for TAURON Zielona Energia. The new solar initiative reflects VSB Group’s ongoing commitment to expanding renewable energy infrastructure in the region.
