The company submitted comprehensive proposals for solar power projects in Roddam and Kothacheruvu in Sri Sathya Sai district, as well as Gooty, Peddavadugur, Vidapanakallu, Peddapoppur, and Narpala in Ananthapuramu district. These proposals were reviewed and approved during the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting on May 15, 2025. The allocation ensures no overlap with areas designated for other renewable energy projects or wind resource assessments.
Bondada Engineering will implement the project through its subsidiary, Bondada Renewable Energy, with a completion timeline of 24 months, adhering to the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Clean Energy Policy – 2024. Valued at INR 90 billion ($1.06 billion) for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), the project boosts Bondada’s order book to approximately INR 140 billion. The company also plans to invest in independent power producer (IPP) operations starting in fiscal 2029.
A company representative stated: “This allocation marks a significant step in expanding our renewable energy footprint, aligning with Andhra Pradesh’s clean energy goals.” The project supports the state’s commitment to sustainable energy development, contributing to increased solar capacity and regional economic growth. By strategically selecting sites across two districts, Bondada aims to optimize energy production while ensuring efficient use of resources.
This initiative strengthens Andhra Pradesh’s position as a hub for renewable energy, leveraging Bondada’s expertise in infrastructure development to meet growing energy demands sustainably. The project’s scale and strategic locations underscore its potential to enhance the state’s clean energy infrastructure.
