Completion is expected by 2027.
The contract involves paving a four-lane highway, including the base, binder, and wearing courses. This work will support the region’s infrastructure by improving road quality and reliability. The project is expected to sustain NCC’s asphalt operations in Trøndelag for several years, with work scheduled to begin in 2025 and conclude by 2027. The contract will be recorded in NCC’s Industry business segment in the third quarter of 2025.
André Waage, head of department at NCC Industry, stated: “The agreement to supply asphalt to this road project is the result of good dialogue with the customer. Together, we have pooled our knowledge and experience to identify the best and most efficient solutions to ensure both high asphalt quality and good progress throughout the project. We are pleased to be entrusted with this task and look forward to starting the project.”
Oddmund Hansen, project manager for the Skanska-Syltern joint venture, commented: “We are delighted to have concluded this contract with NCC and we look forward to cooperating closely as we continue to develop asphalt solutions and perform the actual paving works.” The collaboration emphasizes a shared commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure through innovative and efficient solutions.
The E6 Berkåk-Vindåsliene project aligns with Norway’s broader efforts to upgrade its transportation network, prioritizing safety and efficiency. Earlier in 2025, NCC secured 14 additional asphalt contracts with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and various regions, including SVV Øvre Buskerud, SVV Nedre Buskerud, and SVV Møre og Romsdal Riksveger, further strengthening its role in Norway’s infrastructure development.
By supplying asphalt for this significant highway project, NCC contributes to improving connectivity in Trøndelag while maintaining high standards of quality and sustainability. The partnership with Skanska and Syltern ensures the project will meet regional needs, supporting safer and more efficient travel along one of Norway’s key routes.
