Zimmer & Hälbig, founded in 1974, specializes in designing, engineering, installing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The company serves hospitals, laboratories, industrial facilities, clean rooms, and data centers, generating €96 million ($111.05 million) in revenue in 2024 with 310 employees across seven German locations. This acquisition will integrate Zimmer & Hälbig into VINCI Energies Building Solutions’ network of 150 business units, enhancing its technical offerings for building projects.
Jean-Marc Sere-Charlet, Managing Director of VINCI Energies Germany, stated: “This acquisition reinforces our position in delivering innovative, multi-technical solutions for buildings, aligning with our commitment to sustainable and efficient infrastructure.” The move expands VINCI Energies’ service portfolio in Germany, where the VINCI Group reported €5.6 billion in revenue in 2024, including €4.1 billion from energy solutions and €1.4 billion from construction activities.
In a separate deal, VINCI Energies has agreed to acquire EnergoBit, an electrical infrastructure company based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. EnergoBit focuses on engineering and installing electrical substations, transmission and distribution lines, and network automation systems, while also assembling transformers and medium-voltage switchgear for public and private clients. This acquisition supports Romania’s growing demand for energy transition and infrastructure modernization.
The EnergoBit acquisition will strengthen the presence of VINCI Energies’ subsidiary Omexom in Romania, where the company has operated since 2007 with 1,500 employees. In 2024, VINCI Group’s operations in Romania generated over €200 million in revenue, with VINCI Energies contributing more than €150 million and VINCI Construction nearly €50 million.
Elena Popescu, Director of VINCI Energies Romania, commented: “Acquiring EnergoBit enhances our ability to deliver advanced electrical infrastructure solutions, supporting Romania’s sustainable development goals.” The move aligns with VINCI Energies’ strategy to expand its expertise in energy and infrastructure across key markets.
These acquisitions underscore VINCI Energies’ commitment to enhancing its service offerings in Germany and Romania, leveraging specialized expertise to meet the evolving needs of infrastructure and energy sectors while promoting sustainable solutions.
